Come enjoy Horseshoe’s mountains and take advantage of the hiking trails and the beauty just outside the windows of our program rooms. We will be staying either in the McManus Center with up to date rooms or in a cabin with a bathhouse nearby. Get totally spoiled while participating in one of our Heritage Arts programs, eating delicious home-cooked meals, and maybe even some sleeping too!
Below are descriptions of the various Heritage Arts programs available. Consult the particular Registration information (listed to the right) for fees, lodging, and other details.
Quilters of all ages are welcome to attend this fun weekend. Participants will relax, learn, laugh, and enjoy the company of others who enjoy the art of quilting.
For those who wish to stay five days, please plan to arrive after 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, (those arriving on Tuesday are responsible for their own dinner that evening and breakfast on Wed. morning) Those coming on Wednesday (4 days) or Thursday (3 days) please arrive by 9:30 a.m. to set up and be ready for the first class at 10:30. Tuesday will be a day to sew on project(s) of your choice. Instructors will begin projects on Wednesday with each project being repeated once again. Camp will conclude at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. You will need to bring a sewing machine and rotary cutter. Upon registration, we will send you the complete list of fabric requirements, quilting supplies and personal items needed for the retreat.
Quilt Retreat at Windwood Fly-In Resort!
This Horseshoe Quilt Retreat is held Off-Site at the beautiful Windwood Fly-In Resort in Canaan Valley in Tucker County, WV.
Join us for three days and nights of sewing, fellowship and very little sleep.
We will be learning how to weave beautiful, useful baskets. This is an overnighter for those of you who wish to stay here at Horseshoe. The baskets selected for the program will be detailed in the registration materials.
